Subject to certain criteria being satisfied, receiving private medical treatment in the UK is something that can be done under a standard Visit Visa.
If you are seeking to visit the UK for private medical treatment, this is something that should be clearly indicated and evidenced in your Visit Visa application.
As well as meeting all of the usual criteria for a Visit Visa, you will have to provide evidence that you have a medical condition that needs private consultation or treatment in the UK, that you have pre-arranged such consultations or treatment, that you have sufficient funds to pay for your consultations or treatment, and that you will leave the UK once your consultations or treatment are completed. This is usually evidenced in the form of a letter written by the UK doctor or consultant.
Where successful, medical visitors can be granted Visit Visas valid for up to 11 months, if the required treatment will last beyond 6 months.
