Home Office to conduct re-tendering exercise for secure English language test providers

1 May 2013

The closing date for applications for the Home Office's re-tendering exercise for approved English language providers passed on 4 September. The aim is to ensure that providers offer a consistently high service. This re-tendering exercise will affect English language tests for Tiers 1, 2 and 4 of the Points-Based System and spouses and partners of British citizens and persons settled in the UK. The important thing to note if you are taking a test is that changes will not affect you if you are applying for leave to enter or remain before 6 April NEXT YEAR (2014) when changes to the list of test providers will be implemented.
