The Home Office regularly updates the fees for immigration and nationality applications, both for those submitted domestically from within the UK and those submitted from abroad. Below is a brief breakdown of the current variations to be aware of.
- 2-year visit visa application fees are set at £361.00, although Chinese nationals, applying in mainland China, under the Chinese visa scheme, will be subject to an application fee of £95.00.
- A Council of Europe Social Charter (CESC) application fee discount of £55.00 applies for the main applicant with regard to employment visa applications, such as the Skilled Worker, Start up and Innovator visa route, the Global Talent visa route and certain Tier 2 and Tier 5 routes. In order to be eligible for this discount, the main applicant must be a CESC national applying under one of the qualifying immigration routes. The definition of a CESC national includes EEA/EU nationals and Turkish Nationals. However, if you believe you are entitled to this discount, please be sure to check the CESC guidance before proceeding.
- The Home Office’s newly published fee figures indicate a further reduction in application fees for those applying under the Health and Care visa route.
- The Home Office has added a £80.00 Citizenship Ceremony fee to the application fee for those applying for British citizenship from 31 January 2021. This additional fee will also be applied to those who turn 18 during their citizenship application process. Should this occur, this additional £80.00 fee will be requested at the point the application is decided.
