Travel Corridors: Who Is Exempt From The 14-Day Quarantine?

Posted by: Gherson Extradition

The UK Government has published a list of 59 countries which will be exempt from the quarantine measures that are currently in place.

From 10 July 2020 any traveler who enters England from one of the nominated countries will not be expected to adhere to the 14-day self-isolation policy, unless they have visited or stopped in any country or territory not listed in the preceding 14 days. Passengers arriving from one of the exempt countries will still be required to provide contact information on arrival at any English border.

Any person who is already self-isolating in England and who last entered from one of the travel corridor countries will be able to stop doing so from 10 July 2020.

These new measures only apply to England. The devolved administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are to set their own rules and border restrictions.

Notably the United States is not included in the list of exempt countries owing to its high infection rate.
