This June marks three years since WikiLeak's founder Julian Assange controversially entered Ecuador's embassy seeking diplomatic asylum. Is INTERPOL a reliable source? On 24 June 2015 the High Court gave its judgment in the case of Leke Prendi aka Aleks Kola v Albania [2015] EWHC 1809 (Admin). The cost of new immigration rules to the NHS The Royal College of Nursing has warned the government that new immigration rules, which will lead to lower-earning non-EU workers being deported, will exacerbate the shortage of nurses in the UK and cost the NHS tens of millions in recruitment. £6.4bn in income tax paid by non-doms in 2012-13 A response to a Freedom of Information request made by Gherson shows that "non-doms" paid £6.4bn in income tax in 2012-13, the latest year for which figures are available. Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) route may yet again be revised Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) route has evolved substantially since it was first introduced in 2008. Two UK airports to start offering pre-clearance facilities to the United-States Heathrow and Manchester airports have been shortlisted to become the only two UK airports to offer entry clearance to passengers travelling to the US before they even leave the UK. The plans were announced as part of a major expansion by the US of its pre-clearance operations. Entering the UK as the holder of an Article 10 Residence Card Following the ruling in case C-202/13 McCarthy, the Immigration (European Economic Area) (Amendment) Regulation 2015 SI No 694 came into force.
