On 6 October 2014, The Home Secretary Theresa May signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Republic of Ireland. The first project to benefit from this new agreement will be a British/Irish visa scheme, which will allow Chinese and Indian visitors to travel to the UK and Ireland on a single visit visa. Gherson will be attending the British Boarding Schools Weekend [link in Russian] in Kiev, held in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Kiev, Ukraine on 16-17 February 2013. In November 2011 Gherson represented a citizen of the Russian Federation in a successful appeal to the Upper Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) against the entry clearance officer, Moscow. The appeal was against the refusal of a family visit visa to allow a father to join his wife and son in the UK.
